Former EVP and CFO of Scholastic Corp. Maureen O’Connell Joins ISACA 2020-2021 Board of Directors

Schaumburg, IL, USA – Global technology association ISACA installed its 2020-2021 Board of Directors at its virtual Annual General Meeting today, featuring a strong combination of executive expertise and association and chapter leadership experience. The new board also represents seven countries and more than 10 industries, and 92 percent have C-level experience. Joining the ISACA board of directors will be Maureen O’Connell, an experienced executive with a background in both finance and education, and most recently the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Scholastic Corp.

As executive vice president and chief financial officer of Scholastic Corp., O’Connell was responsible for finance, operations, supply chain, technology, human resources and legal at the company. Prior to this, she also served as president at Gartner and chief financial officer of Barnes & Noble. O’Connell currently serves on the public board of Acacia Research Corp. and is also a Compensation Committee member, Audit Committee Chair and Chairman of the Board. She is also on the public board for Harte-Hanks, where she chairs the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.

O’Connell has more than 30 years of progressive experience in finance and operations management and has been named “Financial Executive Who Will Make a Difference in the Next Decade” by CFO magazine. She also received the CFO World-Class Award from CFO Studio and was named one of the 30 Outstanding Women in Business by Treasury & Risk magazine.
