Schaumburg, IL – Global learning organization and technology association ISACA, the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter and the New York University Tandon School of Engineering today announced a partnership to further educational and credentialing opportunities for students and the cybersecurity community.

ISACA will offer the CSX Cybersecurity Practitioner (CSX-P) certification and one-year ISACA student membership at a discounted price to NYU Tandon students, and NYU Tandon will extend a 75% scholarship to all ISACA members who are accepted into the NYU Cyber Fellows Program. Additionally, the partnership will offer 15% off of tuition to all other NYU Tandon online or on-campus graduate degree programs. As part of the ISACA student membership, NYU Tandon School of Engineering students will also be able to access networking and mentorship opportunities with the ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter.

“As a global learning organization, ISACA believes in the power of building connections and community to expand the impact of our educational offerings for the students and professionals we serve,” says Nader Qaimari, ISACA Chief Learning Officer. “We are excited about our partnership with NYU Tandon School of Engineering and our ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter. Together, we’ll open new learning pathways for students and help build a pipeline to meaningful cybersecurity careers.”

Nasir Memon, Vice Dean, NYU Tandon School of Engineering, explains that “ISACA members worldwide will now be eligible for the most radically affordable online cybersecurity master’s degree program offered by an elite private university in the United States. Created in collaboration with industry partners including Booz Allen Hamilton, TIAA, and Goldman Sachs, the NYU Cyber Fellows program is designed to rapidly scale the national talent pool in response to the critical shortage of frontline cybersecurity experts, giving our graduates the precise skills that employers acutely need in the new-normal threat environment.”

As part of this collaboration, faculty and members of NYU Tandon and ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter will engage together in workshops, conferences, seminars and other events to promote the sharing of ideas, knowledge and best practices.

ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter and its members will support NYU Tandon School of Engineering students with mentorship, training, immersive learning, networking, and career development opportunities.

“We are excited to help launch this innovative and ground-breaking initiative that has resulted in a collaborative partnership offering a plethora of opportunities to NYU students and ISACA members. Our vision is to bridge the divide between the classroom and the boardroom,” said New York Metropolitan Chapter President, Karen V. Alexander.
